Health Guarantee

We don’t just place puppies — we welcome you into our Frenchie family. Backed by over a decade of responsible breeding focused on preserving the health, temperament, and unique charm of this beloved breed.

What Your French Bulldog Puppy Receives

🩺 Vet‑Certified Wellness
Your puppy receives a comprehensive pre‑placement examination by our licensed veterinarian. This includes screening for breed‑specific concerns such as brachycephalic airway syndrome (BOAS) risk assessment via parental respiratory scoring, hip and elbow evaluation, patellar luxation assessment, cardiac auscultation, and an ophthalmologist exam to screen for cherry eye, juvenile cataracts, and corneal ulcers. Digital records of all findings are provided to you.

šŸ’‰ Complete Preventative Care
We administer age‑appropriate DHPP vaccinations at 6, 8, 10, and 12 weeks. Our deworming protocol is followed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks, and a fecal test is performed pre‑placement. You will receive a detailed health passport containing the full vaccine and deworming schedule to share with your veterinarian.

šŸ” Confident Home Preparation
All puppies are raised inside our home with gentle handling and positive reinforcement. They are socialized with children, cats, and other dogs. Because French bulldogs are sensitive to heat and respiratory stress, we also acclimate them to short, low‑impact exercise, harness training, and climate‑controlled environments before they ever leave us.

Our French Bulldog‑Specific Health Guarantees

2‑Year Hereditary Health Warranty
This warranty is longer than the industry standard — because French bulldogs deserve extra protection for their unique anatomy and genetic predispositions. The warranty covers vet‑diagnosed hereditary conditions that appear within the first 24 months, including severe brachycephalic airway syndrome (BOAS) requiring surgical intervention, grade III or IV patellar luxation, hip dysplasia (OFA‑certified moderate or severe), progressive retinal atrophy (PRA), juvenile cataracts, and severe cardiac defects confirmed by a veterinary cardiologist.

If a covered condition is diagnosed within the warranty period, we offer either a replacement puppy from the next available litter or a 75% refund of the purchase price. For BOAS coverage specifically, we require proof that the owner has followed our recommended respiratory health practices, including weight management, avoiding heat stress, and using a harness instead of a collar.

72‑Hour Veterinary Examination
You must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three business days of arrival. The examination records must be submitted to us to activate the warranty. Failure to complete this wellness exam will void the genetic health coverage.

Lifetime Breeder Partnership
We remain your partner for the life of your dog. This includes 24/7 emergency health consultation access, BOAS prevention guidance and respiratory health resources, nutrition planning for optimal weight management (critical for joint and breathing health), and responsible rehoming assistance — we never abandon our puppies.

What’s Not Covered

This guarantee does not cover trauma‑related injuries such as falls, fractures, or heatstroke from improper handling. Obesity‑related complications are not covered — we provide weight management guidance to help you prevent them. Dental disease resulting from inadequate home care is also excluded, as are conditions that arise after 24 months (ask us about our extended joint and spine protection plan). Finally, non‑hereditary illnesses such as parvovirus or kennel cough contracted after leaving our care are not covered.

Why Our French Bulldog Program Stands Apart

šŸ”¬ BOAS‑Preventive Breeding Protocol
All breeding stock is cleared for patellar luxation (OFA certified), hip dysplasia (OFA or PennHIP), cardiac screening by a veterinary cardiologist, and ophthalmologist exam (CERF/CAER). For respiratory health, we use functional BOAS grading — only dogs with grade 0 or grade I (mild) are bred. No single genetic test can eliminate all BOAS risk in the breed, but we significantly reduce it through selective breeding, anatomical assessment, and owner education.

šŸ“Š Transparent Health Documentation
Full parental health records are available for review prior to deposit, including three‑generation pedigrees with longevity data and any known health events.

šŸ“œ Breeder’s Pledge
We breed for health first — because a happy Frenchie needs to breathe freely, move comfortably, and enjoy a long, joyful life by your side. Every puppy leaves with a harness, cooling accessories, and our personal commitment to their lifelong well‑being.

🐾 P.S. Ask about our Frenchie Start Kit (included):
Custom‑fitted harness, cooling mat, raised food bowls to reduce neck strain, and our illustrated French Bulldog Respiratory & Joint Safety Guide — because prevention begins on day one.

Ethical Note

Responsible French bulldog breeders emphasize BOAS risk management, joint health, and temperature safety through education — not false promises. Our guarantee reflects realistic, science‑based breeding practices while empowering owners with prevention tools. No breeder can eliminate all genetic or conformational risks in this breed, but we work tirelessly to reduce them through selective breeding, health testing, and ongoing owner support.
